A natural disaster such as a hurricane is a devastating event and the recovery of such disasters must be handled with care.  Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to mobilizing quickly to provide you with the following range of services:
  • Site Inspection
  • Scope Development
  • Quantity Survey
  • Cost Estimating (distinguishing wind vs. flood)
  • Recover Plan & Schedule
  • Disaster Assessment Reporting with supporting documentation
  • Field Claim Management
  • Change Order Review and Assessment
  • Claims Negotiation Assistance
  • Timeline of Restoration

Since our expertise rests in the area of construction and management we offer these services to both sides of the insurance industry, to public adjusters, as well as insurance adjusters.  This approach has allowed us to obtain a great amount of knowledge of both sides of the disaster claim business, which we apply towards negotiating the most expeditious resolution for our client.

MacMS has the ability to bring our services and immediately mobilize to a loss site to assess damage and provide first response recommendations to secure and protect the site from further damage, as well as provide a rapid turnaround of damage assessment information.  Sensitive and critical areas can be evaluated immediately and completed in the field where time is crucial.   MacMS has specialized environmental, health and safety training allowing access into sites that are restricted due to health, environmental or safety conditions or concerns.

Adjustments for the location where you are working are standard in any estimating package but do not account for the actual impact of CAT type work.  We assess market conditions and adjust our estimates according to pricing and availability factor that currently exist.  As described in our Estimating Services, we use a ground-up, unit cost basis adjustment utilizing actual knowledge for the area and time of event.  We research each number put into our estimates independently and adjust for disaster factors and local market values.
